More Than Just an Attorney
Claudia D. Garcia, is native of Mexico and a Solo Practitioner at the Law Offices of Claudia D. Garcia, APC practicing exclusively in the area of Family Law. Ms. Garcia has represented clients in a wide variety of family law matters including: legal separation, divorce, adoptions, child custody, child and spousal support, division of community and separate assets, preparation of pre-nuptial agreements, and domestic violence cases. Her experience also involves representing clients in complex international family law cases as well as enforcement of judgments.
Ms. Garcia is a graduate of the University of California in San Diego (UCSD), where she received her Bachelor in Political Science in 1993. Ms. Garcia obtained her Juris Doctorate from California Western School of Law in San Diego in 1996. Ms. Garcia is admitted to practice law in the State Courts of California and the United States District Courts for the Southern District of California.
Ms. Garcia is active in the legal community. She is a member of San Diego La Raza Lawyers (“SDLRL”), the San Diego County Bar Association and the San Diego Family Law Bar Association. She also teaches 5th grade students that the choices they make today can affect their lives forever as part of the “Lead Program.”
Ms Garcia began her career in 1996 as a staff attorney for the Legal Aid Society of San Diego and then went on to work for the San Diego District Attorney’s Office handling child support cases. In 1998, she opened her own practice as she found this to be a better way to serve clients in need within her community. Ms. Garcia is committed to providing compassion and integrity to all of her clients.
Outside of the legal community, Ms. Garcia is a proud single mother of two young men.
